Change Is Coming

When we started this project over a year ago, we didn't know who would be our next governor or which party they'd be from, but we did know that there's a wealth of knowledge and people who share a vision for Maryland and are ready to help the next governor be successful.

That's why we crated the Project, to establish a network of nonprofits, service providers and grassroots advocates with shared values who could ensure community voices shape state government priorities for the next four years and help Maryland's next governor pursue policies that address critical issues from building thriving communities and taking bold climate action, to criminal justice reform, good jobs, worker protections, educational excellence, and reliable transportation.

Our first step to a successful four years is fixing our state agencies so they can support the next governor's vision for Maryland.

Transformative Change

This was a historic election for our state. We elected our first Black Governor and as Lieutenant Governor, the first immigrant to serve in statewide office; the first Black Attorney General; and the first woman to serve as Comptroller. Each of our newly elected statewide leaders ran on policy platforms that represent transformative change, and were elected because voters believe in leaders who advocate for policies and principles that serve all Marylanders, no matter where we live or who we are.
